Junior Achievement of the Heartland began in 1956, serving just 155 students in our earliest programs. What started as a small effort to connect young people with real-world learning has grown into a trusted partner in education and workforce readiness. Today, we serve nearly 58,000 students annually across 24 counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
For 70 years, we have helped young people discover what’s possible—building financial confidence, exploring careers, and dreaming bigger for their futures. As we celebrate this milestone year, we’re honoring the past, celebrating the present, and investing in the next generation.
